Harold Junior Callihan, 92 of Hurricane, WV passed away September 5, 2017 at his residence.

He was born December 30, 1924 in Boaz, WV a son of the late Reginald H. and Delphia (Handlin) Callihan.

Mr. Callihan was a retired firefighter for the city of St. Albans. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II where he served in Normandy and northern France. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart due to being wounded while in combat in France.

Surviving is his wife Aretta (Hitchcock) Callihan, two daughters: Brenda C. Vaught of Mineral Wells, WV and Nancy Straughan of Charles Town, WV, three sons: Larry L. Callihan of Parkersburg, Gary G. Callihan of Culloden, WV and Harold "Jay" Callihan of St. Albans, WV. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be Monday 1PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Evangelist Mark Tonkery officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown with full military honors provided by Parkersburg American Legion Post 15.
