Susan J. Morris was the daughter of Isaac B. Morris and Mary B. Sharp. She married George W.L. Perry 10-21-1869 in Tallapoosa Co., AL. They had ten children.

Susan, her sisters Mary Mary Ann Morris Melvinia McLain, and Elizabeth Jane (Betty)Morris Hinkle as well as their parents Isaac B. Morris and Rebecca Bean Morris are all believed to have died of congenital heart disease, probably a defective value . Many of their descendants have died from or experienced similar medical issue.
