He was born in Exter, Germany on June 19 (16), 1907, a son of the late Simon and Karoline Kleemeier Meise.
Albrecht came to the United States in January 1925 at the age of 17. He worked for Fred Bender for four years and in 1929, worked at the Kohler Company in the pottery division for over 19 years.
Martha Schulz and Albrecht Meise were married in 1936, at the Schulz Homestead. After marriage, the couple lived in Kohler for over seven years. In 1943, he purchased a farm in the Town of Meeme, farming there over 50 years. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Schwartzwald.
Surviving Albrecht are his wife, Martha; two daughters, Janice (Walter) Schneider, Sheboygan; Carolyn (William) Porter, Chicago; five grandchildren; also survived by two brothers-in-law, Marie Meise, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Martha Meise, Exter, Germany; Esther (Richard) Seidl, Menasha; Emma Kinzel, Sheboygan and Norma Dedow, Green Bay; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends in Germany and the United States. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and four sisters.
A funeral service will be conducted at St. John's UCC, Schwartzwald, with Rev. Ruben Grosshuesch officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Sheboygan Press, Sat, May 9, 1998
