He was born in Alden Township, Oct. 26, 1911, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Monsen. He never married
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Gust Weiberg, Chicago, Mrs. Arvid Bengsten, Downers Grove, Mrs. Bjarne Svensen, Poplar Grove; five brothers, Martin, Oak Park, Arthur, Capron, Hjalmer, Stoughton, Wis., Theodore, Clinton, Wis., and Stanley of Walworth.
Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Schutt McFarlin and Saunders Funeral Home, the Rev. Norman Swensen of Calumet Park officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
