Evert & Lisbiet and their family emigrated to Pennsylvania during the Dutch Quaker Migration organized by William Penn in 1699. They arrived in Germantown, Pennsylvania.
By 1706 Evert & Lisbiet are living in Skippack, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania where he is said to be the Ruling Elder of the Skippack German Reformed Church. By 1710 He, his wife & children were living in Wytmess, Whitpain, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. They appear in the Bensalem history of the Presbyterian Church. Three of his children were married there in 1711-12: Hermon , Peter, and Annken. Evert & Lisbiet "Shipbower" In den Hoffen were still living March 4, 1728 when they deed their 100-acre tract to Peter Indehoffen. They died shortly after.
According to 'History of Skippack and Vicinity Evert and his wife Lisbiet are buried in the Lower Skippack Mennonite Cemetery in Skippack.
