Mr. Granger, a native of Richland, moved to Syracuse in 1951. He had been employed at Muench-Krewzer Candle Co. and Marley's Recycling Shop for several years.
Surviving are two sons, Virgil Jr. and Michael, both of Syracuse; a daughter, Kathy Dunham of Syracuse; three brothers, Robert of Richland, Glenn of Altmar and Allen of Cazenovia; three sisters, Florence Benway of Altmar, Joyce Granger of Canstantia and Fran Hazelwood of Niagara Falls, N.Y; and a granddaughter.
