Harold "Hal" Ensley Anderson, 75, of Miles City passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at the Holy Rosary Health Center in Miles City.
Born in Miles City on April 21, 1929, he was the son of Harold and Ruth Ensley Anderson. He graduated from Custer County High School in 1946 and received a business degree from the University of Montana-Missoula in 1951.
Mr. Anderson served in the Army during the Korean War as a Field Artillery officer.
He worked as a program director at KATL Radio, stock broker, investment adviser and substitute teacher, teaching music and economics classes.
He had a love of music, performing as a member of his church choir and a number of community musicals. He also was an accomplished bridge player. Mr. Anderson had a keen interest in baseball and golf. As an American Legion player, he was a member of a Montana State champion team.
Survivors include his three sons, Eric Anderson and his wife Lori and Scott Anderson and his wife Sandie, all of Boise, Idaho, and Garth Anderson and his wife Cindy of Blue Springs, MO; four grandchildren, Travis Light of Ballantine, Jordan and Braden Anderson of Blue Springs, MO, and Eva Anderson of Boise.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Evahlia in 1974; his second wife, Pat in 1988; and a brother, Gary.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 8, 2004, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.
