Florence Ann Bell, 81, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born April 20, 1936, in Hardin County to the late William Garvin and Louise Knight Owen.

She was a former hostess at Bob Evans Restaurant in Louisville and was a member of Wickland Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Charles William Bell; and one brother, Robert Lee Owen.

She is survived by two sons, Lawrence Thomas (Susan) Bell of Kissimmee, Fla., and James "Jim" (Karen) Bell of Cox's Creek; one sister, Mary Sue "David" Sayer of Louisville; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road with Bro. Brad Woods officiating.
Burial is in the Sonora Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Nelson County Gazette
