Resident of City Since 1930 Dies
Mrs. Vena Ruth Sherman, 64, of 1942 Euclid, died Wednesday at her home. She was born Feb. 24, 1898, in Kensington, Kan. She married Noble N. Sherman on June 1 1916, in Howard, Kan., and moved with her family to Wichita in 1930. She was a member of the Howard, Kan., Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; her father, U.G. Riley, Rocky Ford, Colo. ; A half-sister, Annabel Van Kleeck, Portsmouth, Va.; and two brothers, Glen Riley and Ralph Riley, both of California..
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Broadway Mortuary chapel. Burial will be in Wichita Park Cemetery.
