Ron Hughes lived with the Cheshire family as a foster child and when he was an adult, went through legal adoption and took the last name of Cheshire. He was born and will always be a Hughes, however. His brother, Richard Hughes Cheshire was also adopted. They knew their birth family and were close to their Hughes brothers and sisters. Ron and his brother were in show business and took stage names. Ron became Choya Shane.
