He was the grand-father of my niece's (Nikki) husband Eric Bukovec. He was loved not just family, but loved throughout the community.

He was the owner of Rudy's Quality Meats located in Willowick Ohio.


RUDOLPH T. BUKOVEC age 89, beloved husband for 65 years of Katherine (nee Scoville); loving father of Susan Grubach, Thomas (wife Colleen), Mark (wife Janet), and the late Richard; devoted grandfather of Heather Brady (husband Keith), Michael Grubach (wife Erin), Bryan Bukovec, Mary Eichler (husband Matt), Amanda Smith (husband Jon), Eric (wife Nikki), Katherine, Jane, and Elizabeth Bukovec and great-grandfather of  Jacob Brady, Michael and Kelsey Grubach, Lana Smith, Allie Grubach, Joshua Brady, Mika Smith, and Emerson Bukovec; cherished son of Rudolph and Agnes (nee Jaksa); dearest brother of  Carl (wife Margaret, deceased)  and the late Anthony (wife Joan); dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Veteran.
Rudy was born on February 5, 1928 in Cleveland and passed away on September 14, 2017. He was a resident of Euclid for 44 years and a member of SS. Robert & William Catholic Church. Rudy was a member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion. He graduated from Benedictine High School. Rudy was the owner/operator of Rudy’s Quality Meats which has been in his family since 1928. He enjoyed tennis and golf. Rudy loved his family and being around people and customers while working. He will be remembered most as a very knowledgeable, self-taught and gregarious man. Rudy was a storyteller, read anything, and enjoyed crosswords. He will be dearly missed.
Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, September 20th, 2017 at SS. Robert & William Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Rudolph at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 2-4 & 5-7 PM.
