Tom was born June 27, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan and was the son of the late Thomas B. Aldrich II and Vivian (nee Swor) Aldrich.
He married Ann W. Meeske on June 17, 1967 and enjoyed thirty-one years of marriage before her passing on May 2, 1998.
He was a longtime federal employee at the Railroad Retirement Board until his retirement in 2004.
He was a master bridge player, tennis player, wine connoisseur, theater enthusiast, world traveler, and collector of coins, stamps, art, and collectibles.
He is survived by his daughter, Sara Aldrich, and grandsons, Calvin and Matthew Proskey; daughter, Lisa (John Jr.) Corrao, and grandchildren, Annalise, Josephine, and JT; sister, Judith (Robert) Andretich; and significant other, Monica Jung.
Private burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington, and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
