A Funeral Service will be celebrated Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 2 in the Chapel of Hixson Brother’s Funeral Home, 701 Jackson Street, Alexandria, LA, with Father James Ferguson officiating.   Visitation will be observed from 12 p.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Woodworth.  
 
Dolores Ann Buckley, 87, was born to Joseph Clarence Chenevert and Nilta LeJuene Chenevert on July 7, 1930 in New Roads, La. She lived 18 years in Alexandria, 47 years in Tulsa Ok, and passed away September 8, 2017 at home in Irvine, Ca.
 
Dolores is of the Catholic faith and is remembered affectionately by her family and friends as Tennie, a loving caring person, a fabulous Cajun cook, a bowler who bowled a perfect 300 game, an expert contract bridge player, a member of many organizations and a founding member of "The Society of Petroleum Engineers’ Wive's Club” in Tulsa, Ok.
 
Dolores is survived by her beloved husband Ralph Lelon Buckley, with whom she shared 71 loving years which includes three years as high school sweethearts at Bolton High School in Alexandria, La. She is also survived by a daughter, Anita Lynn Stoldt; grandson, Lelon Stoldt and his wife, Melissa; two great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Josephine Dolores; grandson, Leland Kyle Stoldt; brother, JC "Slim" Chenevert, and sister, Loretta "Sookie" Esmond. She was a treasured aunt to numerous nephews and nieces.
 
Her brother, Ernest Chenevert, and her sister, Joyce Underwood, preceded her in death.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Dolores’ name to be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Leukemia Fund.  www.stjude.org.
