Mrs. Power was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nashville, Arkansas. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. After receiving her nursing degree she worked for many hospitals and nursing facilities which included Conway Hospital, Howard Memorial Hospital, Mine Creek Nursing, but for the majority of her nursing career was as a nurse for Home Health in Ashdown. She was also an instructor of nursing at Cossatot College, during this time she was honored by the Nashville Chamber of Commerce as Woman of the Year for her role in the nursing program with Cossatot.
She devoted her whole life in service to others and her family, and spent her time investing in caring for her patients and their needs. As she truly loved caring for people, she also cared for and was an avid animal lover.
Mrs. Power was preceded in death by her brothers William Glen Power Jr.; and Jimmy Earl Power, a sister-in-law Barbara Power, a nephew William Paul Power, and a niece Mary Elizabeth Andrews.
Survivors include two brothers Bobby Neal Power (Gail) of Bentonville, AR; Danny Power of Morganton, NC; Sister-in-laws Ouida Power of Nashville, AR; Cheryl Power of Nashville, AR; nieces and nephews Becca Blaine, Virginia Anderson, Greg James, Abby Cobb, Kevin Power, Mark Power, Tonya Gutch, Shannon Czarkowski, Jason Power, Jenny Power Westbrook, and many great nieces and nephews that she loved like her own. Aunt Mary Ann always made everyone feel extra special.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, June 25, at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 26, at Ozan Cemetery at Bingen, with Bro. David Blasé officiating. Under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
