Final rites for Robert Bailey, 49, of Jesse, were held at the Guyandotte Baptist Church, Jesse, with burial following in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny. Mr. Bailey died in a Beckley hospital after a long illness. Born July 28, 1924, at Clear Fork, he was a son of the late David Crockett Bailey and Mrs. Goldie Acord Bailey of Jesse. He was employed by Eastern Associated Coal Corp. at Kopperston for over 20 years. Other survivors include his wife, Barbara and one son at home; four brothers, Dennis, Lacy, Posey, and Johnny; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Hill of Oceana and Mrs. Lucille Gunnoe and Mrs. Betty Smith both of Jesse.
