Lillie Pearl Harris, age 97, of Whitesburg, joined her parents in heaven with the angels on Sunday, September 17, 2017.

She was the oldest living member of Morrisett’s Chapel Church and was a member of WMU for 30 plus years. Pearl loved quilting, cooking, flowers, gardening, church and people.

Pearl was the owner and operator of The Fabric Shop in Whitesburg, Tennessee. She got her High School GED at the age of 54.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Earl Harris; father, Alva M. Woods; mother, Effa Grace Woods; brothers, Bill, Joe, Mermon and Raymond Woods; sisters, Minnie Mae Archer and Jackie Solomon; daughter, Sandra A. Worthington.

Pearl is survived by her sister, Dora Tindall Scott; son, James A. Harris; grandchildren, James Dodson, Tracie Keeney, Jim Harris, Michael Dodson, Terri Daughtry, Brady Dodson and Heath Harris; several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Smokey Mountain Hospice and to Dr. Lance Patton and staff.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. The funeral ceremony will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Morrisett’s Chapel Church with Rev. Don Davis officiating. Music will be provided by George (Gale) Bentley and the Morrisett Church Quartet. The graveside service will follow at Courtney Cemetery.
