Gerry was born on the family cattle ranch in Fountain Springs California on August 27, 1922 to George and Etta Guinn. She was the youngest and the last to survive of nine children. After growing up on the ranch she moved to Porterville California and ultimately settled in Bakersfield.
Gerry is survived by her son Larry Jackson, daughter Sherrie McMurtrey, son in law Don McMurtrey, Granddaughter Kim Vetch, Husband Thomas Vetch, Grandchildren Tina, Tony and Guinn, Great Grandson Clive Vetch, Great-Nephew Bob White, and numerous loving nieces and nephews as well as her very special friends Big and Little Anitra.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Ira, Maudie and longtime loving friend Kim as well as Sarah and Ashley of Hoffman Hospice. A grave side service will be held on Friday September 22nd at 11:00 at Greenlawn cemetery located at 3700 River Blvd Bakersfield Ca.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made in memory of Gerry Guinn Milinich to Hoffman Hospice, SPCA or a charity of your choice.
