Walter Fields, 98, of Chesapeake, VA passed away with his family by his side on March 16, 2016, at Chesapeake General Hospital after a short Illness.
Born in Warrenton, NC on April 26, 1917, he is the son of the late Nathanial Fields and Lillian Christmas-Fields.
Walter enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and fishing. In addition to his father and mother,
Walter was predeceased by his wife, Carrie Dunson Fields, sisters Jannett, Marie, Patty Lee, Olivia, Kattie, and brothers, Norman, Alphonso, and Nathanial, daughter in law Hilda and son in law James.
Walter is survived by five children Carrie Martin, Deloris Forman (Clarence), Ethel Clayton (Leon), Walter Fields Jr., and Elliott Fields Sr., nine grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and nine great, great grandchildren.
