Funeral Today For Mrs. Mabel Waldron Abbott

Funeral services will be conducted today (Thursday) at 1 p.m. for Mrs. Mabel Waldron Abbott, 74, who died Monday at 3:15 a.m. at the Valley hospital of a heart ailment. She had been ill about a week.

She was born July 19, 1884 in Morgan, a daughter of Joseph T. and Marriette Rich Waldron. She attended B.Y.C. at Logan and came to Tremonton to live in 1905.

She married George Abbott Dec. 4, 1907 in Farmington. The marriage, was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

An active church worker, Mrs. Abbott had worked as president of the Primary in East Tremonton, as counselor in the Relief Society and as work director in that organization. She was also a member of the Farm Bureau and two years ago was selected as "Mother of the Year", from Tremonton.

Surviving are her husband and the following sons and daughters, Jed R. and Mrs. Kleon (Kathryn) Kerr, Tremonton; Mrs. John (Rae) Bernard, Heber City; Dr. Emerson Abbott, Eugene, Ore.; Dr. J.T. Abbott, Cottage Grove, Ore.; also 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers and three sisters, Lewis Waldron, Morgan; Ernest T, Waldron, Granger; Mrs. Josephine Tippett, Salt Lake City: Mrs. Esther Napper, Logan; Mrs. Vera Young, Roy.

Friends may call at Roger Mortuary from 11 a.m. until time for the service.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, any donations be sent to, Children's Service Society, 576 E So. Temple St., Salt Lake City.

Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
