Mrs. Sarah E. Tukesbrey
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Tukesbrey, aged 69 years, died suddenly Sunday evening, July 25, at 7:30 o'clock at the home of her son, John Tukesbrey, corner of College and Bridge streets, East End. Mrs. Tukesbrey suffered a stroke of paralysis and lived buy 15 minutes. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Baltzell and was born April 17, 1857, in West Waynesburg. She had spent all her life in the Waynesburg community, and was the last of 13 children. Her husband died nine years ago. She leaves four sons, namely: Clyde and John Tukesbrey, of Waynesburg; Robert and Harry Tukesbrey, of Wheeling, W. Va. Funeral services were held at the John Tukesbrey home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. F.S. Dowdy, pastor of the First Christian church. Interment was in Oakmont cemtery.
