Clara was married to Spencer Buch Bair. The marriage ended in divorce. They had no children. Clara did have a child at some point in the 20's, when she was living and working in Columbia, SC as an operator for the telephone company. The child's father is believed to have been a Bamberg man. He or she was adopted.
Clara died in of cancer in the care of her sister Reba in Augusta and is buried with her sister Eula O'Quinn Antley at Spring Branch.

Mrs Clara Bair, 43, Dies at Residence of Her Sister Here

Mrs Clara O'Quinn Bair, 43, died yesterday at the residence of her sister, Mrs W L Parnell [Reba O'Quinn], 1117 Telfair Street, after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at the Spring Branch Baptist Church near Bamberg, SC, tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock. The REv J P Westberry will officiate ad interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs Bair was a native of Bamberg County, and had lived in Augusta for only six months. She was a lifelong member of the Spring Branch church, and was active in all its departments until her recent ill health. She had lived all her life in Bamberg until she came here six months ago to make her home with her sister.

Besides her sister here, the deceased is survived by her parents, Mr and Mrs Joseph Perry O'Quinn of Bamberg, three nephews, Francis Antley of Columbia, SC, James Hansford O'Quinn and Jacob Perry O'Quinn of Bamberg, and three nieces, Roma O'Quinn, Jeanette O'Quinn of Bamberg, and Clara Parnell of Augusta.
