Milton (Butch) Margan, longtime resident of Colorado Springs, CO, passed peacefully on July 22, 2017. He was born on December 29, 1929, to Joseph Margan and Hildagard (Pickle) in Dubuque, Iowa.

Butch proudly served 23 years in the U.S. Army, where he fought in Vietnam and the Korean War as a member of the 31st infantry [Regiment], K Company Polar Bears, at the Chosin Reservoir. He retired in 1971 as a Sergeant First Class.

He worked at Hewlett Packard and Phil Long Ford in Colorado Springs for several years after his army retirement.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ursula; a son Alphonse; a brother; Lloyd; and a sister, Irma. Butch is survived by his loving children, grandchildren, a brother and several sisters, and many nieces and nephews also survive him.
