Louanna was the daughter of Reuben Dewayne Wolfe and Mary LouEmma Easterling. She married Wilson Perry Compton. The photo of LouAnna holding her grandson Luther M. Compton in Spring 1925 was contributed by Gail Bickford Thomas, and the grave metal marker photo was taken by great granddaughter Sandi Compton Mayo in April 2005 during a visit, still legible after 75 years of weather exposure. Currently, in 2023, it is nearly unreadable, eaten away by rot and mold, as seen in the photo. LouAnna was known as "Lou" by her family and noted as "Lou" on several of her children's death records, one in particular, my grandfather Willie Perry Compton's death certificate.
