Anna was born in Lynn, Kansas to Anna (Snockinb) and Henry Postel. Around age 12 the family moved to Napa where Anna attended school. She had at least two sisters, Marie (married name Dorum) and Rose (married name Andrade).
On August 3, 1919 in Casper, Wyoming she was united in marriage to Otto Jess Fields. "Mr. and Mrs. Fields returned to Napa and have lived here since." The couple had at least one child, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren at the time of Anna's passing.
Anna and Otto enjoyed fishing.

Anna Dorothy Fields, longtime Napa resident, died last night at her home in Millers Trailer Court, after a sudden illness. She was 77.
