IRENE GRANT BARBER
Age 91, of Route 20A, Perry, NY passed away on January 10, 2019 at the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw. She was born April 10, 1927 in Rochester, NY daughter of the late Peter and Edna Hare Grant. Irene was a 1945 graduate of York Central School. Her husband of fifty-nine years, John W. Barber, Sr. passed away November 27, 2005. Surviving are her children, Nancy B. (Wayne J.) Van Valkenburg of Perry, Lawrence P. (Kimberly) Barber of Perry; grandchildren, Jeff Barber, Scott Barber, Amy Cullinan, David Van Valkenburg, Lisa Inzinna, Kristy Broughton, Kelly Dionne, Daniel Barber, Jeremy Barber; thirteen great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Steven Barber who died in 1958, John Barber, Jr. who died in 2007 and was sister of the late Edward Grant, Raymond Grant, Dorothy Irving, Katherine Grant and Rita Arrigenna.
Friends may call Sunday, January 13 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 14 at 10 AM at St. Michael’s Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Warsaw.
