Billy L. Johnson, 78, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in a Midland hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 27, 2017 at First Baptist Church Chapel. Private family interment will be at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time Friday in the parlor at First Baptist Church.
He was born May 23, 1938 in Big Spring, Texas and married Opal Hancock December 20, 1958 in Big Spring.
Billy was a lifelong resident of Big Spring and graduated from Big Spring High School in 1956.
He attended Ranger Junior College on a football scholarship.
Billy started Johnson Sheet Metal in 1963 and it continues to operate today.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ullis W. Johnson; his mother, Lizzie B. Lloyd Nielsen; his step-father, Knud Nielsen; and a brother, Roy White Johnson.
