Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the First Baptist Church Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, September 25, 2017 at the funeral home.
She was born March 18, 1940 in Corpus Christi, Texas to James Denson and Elsie Maeker Hancock.
She married Billy L. Johnson December 20, 1958 in Big Spring, Texas. He preceded her in death January 24, 2017.
Opal came to Big Spring in 1955 and graduated from Big Spring High School.
She and her husband, Billy, started Johnson Sheet Metal in 1963 and is still operational today.
Opal was a loving wife and mother and was known as a sweet lady by all.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Billy Ray Johnson.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Compass Hospice for the compassionate care they gave Opal.
