Jesse Calvert, probably the son of George Calvert (1771-1824?), was born on October 27, 1789, in Culpeper County, Va. He last lived in Daviess County, Ky. He married in 1810, Levicy Rea (1793-1840), in Culpeper County. Their nine children were Robert W. (1811-57), Mathew (1814-43), Adaline C. (1816-d.yng.), John Oscar (1818-), Frances Margaret (1820-81), Nimrod (1822-85), Maria Eliza (1825-), Leavicy Jane (1830-), and Damaris Calvert (1835-).

Robert W. Calvert (1811-57) was a farm owner near Worthington, In. He married in 1833, Celia Russell (1811-93), in Spencer County, Ky. Their seven children were Constantine (1834-1910); John Oscar (1837-1914); William Oliver (1844-1916); Mary Jane (1845-) who married George W. Darrough (c1847-); Sarah Elizabeth (1848-) who married (1) Simon Pickard (1847-1918), and (2) Riley Hollis; Margaret A. (1852-67); and Robert Lewis Calvert (1853-1926).

Matthew Calvert (1814-43) married in 1834, Margaret Jewell (1808-1880), of Spencer County, Ky. They moved to near Worthington, In. Their five children were William Barnett (1835-64), Mary F. (1837-45), Rev. Jesse Dudley (1839-1902), Levica M. (1840-1928) who married James R. Hodges (1837-99), and Benjamin Ballard Calvert (1843-83).

John Oscar Calvert (1818-) lived in Daviess County, Ky. He married c1842, Eliza (1824-). Their seven children were M. (1843-), William (1845-), J. N. (1848-), Isaac (1851-), F. E. (1853-), M. E. (1855-), and R. N. Calvert (1857-).

Frances Margaret Calvert (1820-81) married c1844, Henry R. Hollis (1822-56), son of Ephraim Hollis (c1788-), of Indiana. They were living in Daviess County, Ky. in 1850. Their children were Edgar (-1855); Ann L. (1845-); Maria J. (1846-); Zerilda F. (1847-1920) who married Simon Pickard (1847-1918) and lived in Greene Co., In, and had six children; James H. (1849-77); Robert A. (c1851-); Edwin M. (1852-71); and Oscar N. Hollis (1855-1874).

Nimrod Calvert (1822-85) was a farm owner at Bloomfield, In. He married c1845, Sarah Wheeler (1823-98), daughter of Ignatius Wheeler (1795-1883), of Kentucky. Their eight children were George W. (1846-91); Sanford (1848-50); Jesse (1851-54); Leovicy Jane (1853-1936) who married Benjamin Lovaell (1851-1915); Mary Frances (1855-1929); twins Robert W. (1861-65) and Ignatious M. (1861-1936); and Lovell R. Calvert (1869-1930).

Jesse Calvert died August 4, 1860. His wife, Levicy Rea, died July 18, 1840. They are probably buried in Daviess County, Ky.
