Verlon Louise Polston, 76, of Springdale, died Monday, September 25, 2017. She was born May 1, 1941 in Strawberry, Arkansas, to Claude Jackson and Harriet Pauline Drury Mullen. Verlon was a homemaker throughout her life and was devoted to her family. She loved to sew, quilt and flower garden, and was a longtime member of Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Verlon is survived by Jerry Polston, her husband of nearly 61 years; four children, Tom Polston and wife Diann of Clifty, Twana Miller and husband Russell of Evening Shade, Tonia Heckman and husband John of Sherwood, Traci Day and husband Tim of Springdale; one brother, Carroll Mullen of Shreveport, Louisiana; two sisters, Judy Schrickhise and Jane Wallace both of New Boston, Missouri; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Polston in 2007.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 29, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel.
