Lester John Nuzman, 59, son of Lester Lee and Constance Jeannie Keachie Nuzman, passed away September 18, 2017 in his home in West Jordan, Utah. Beloved son, brother, uncle and friend to many. Lester was born February 21, 1958 in Murray, Utah.

Lester is preceded in death by his parents Les and Connie, brothers Robert and George and sister Jan Nuzman. He is survived by brothers Don (Louise) Nuzman and David (Laurie) Nuzman and many nephews and nieces, as well as great and great-greats.

Lester was an extraordinarily big hearted and giving man and lived a life of service. Helping anyone in need. Especially enjoying service projects in need of a tractor! He was a faithful and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which was very important to him. He served a mission to the Florida/Georgia area in 1977-1979; he also served many other church callings over the years.

Lester graduated from Bingham High School of South Jordan, Utah in 1976. While a student there, he enjoyed being a part of the track team and excelled. He also studied at Salt Lake Community College.

Lester worked as a Correctional Officer at the Utah State Prison for nearly 25 years. Outside of work, he played on a softball team with his co-workers. And even participated in a few paintball games.

Lester enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He could always be counted on to do all that he possibly could for any one of them. He enjoyed cooking and was very good at it. Earlier on, he and some friends owned a plane, which he loved to fly. He spent a few summers gold mining with a good friend. He spent time with his mom doing genealogy work and even got to meet some found relatives. He liked to do tractor work and he helped with many projects.

Lester will be greatly missed by family, friends, neighbors and all else who was able to know him.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 28, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. with a viewing prior to services from 10:00-11:45 a.m. at the West Jordan River Oaks Stake Center located at 8950 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah. Interment will be at West Jordan City Cemetery.
