Sudden Death Claims Respected Citizen

Death came suddenly to Lewis Carman, 74, Sunday, while he was attending Sunday School at the Dunkard Church on the Highland-Hillsboro pike- at which place he had been largely instrumental in organizing the workers for service.

Mr. Carman's home was in Montana, but he had lived for a year with his niece, Mrs. Bert Connell, and everyone who came to know him, loved him for his fine Christian character.

He possessed good health, and neuralgia of the heart was responsible for his death.

Two sons, Dr. Farrell Carman, of Butte, Montana, and Dr. Edgar Carman of Vasti, Tex., one sister, Mrs. Hattie Parker, in New York, and three borthers, John and Joe, in Missouri, and Thomas, of Billings, Mont., survive. One brother, Isaac, died at his home in Washington C.H., several years ago.

The funeral services were held from the Dunkard Church Tuesday, and the body was taken to the home of the son in Montana by the other son from Vasti, Tex.
