Gene Kermit Althoff, was born June 23, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio to Kermit Marks and Irene May (Sauer) Althoff. At age 87, the Lancaster resident , passed away September 18, 2017.

Graduate of Columbus South High School; Member of Fairfield County Antique Tractor Club.

Preceded in death by wife, Helen Althoff; great-grandson, Christopher Garcia; son-in-law, Clarence "Chris" Christy; parents, Kermit and Irene Althoff.

Survived by daughters, Jacquelyn Christy, Carole Anderson; 4 grandchildren, Debbie (Jeff) Judy, Gayle Christy, Cyndi Dorwart, and Pam (David) Garcia; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Althoff and William (Dorothy) Althoff; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
