Richard A. Boland, Sr. "Allen", age 79, saw the face of Jesus Wednesday, September 27, 2017.

A graduate of North Augusta High School, veteran of the United States Army, retiree from DSM Chemicals, and active at Greens Cut United Methodist Church, Allen's hobbies were people and he invested his life in relationships. Allen spent his life ministering to others in the service of the Lord that he loved.

Allen is survived by Donna, his loving wife of 53 years; his children, DiAnn Boland of North Augusta, Rick Boland of Augusta, Daniel Boland (Caroline) of Waynesboro, and Melissa Hawks (Heath) of North Augusta; grandchildren, Aaron and Lillie Boland, Carson and Savannah Faulkner, and Gracen Hawks; his brothers, Tom (Rita), and Bill (Angie); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mildred Boland; and his sisters, Donnie Rae, Jo Ann, and Becky.

An honoring of his life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, September 30 at Piney Grove Baptist Church in McBean, with Chaplain Rick Boland officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior. A graveside service will immediately follow in the church cemetery. Additionally, a Memorial Service will be held at 7pm on Saturday, September 30 at McBean Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank Amy, Jeniece, and the entire staff at Southeast Hospice for their professional and compassionate care.
