Donald Richard Barta, age 84, of Faribault died on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis.

Donald Richard, the son of Charles and Florence (Lyons) Barta was born on December 4, 1932 in Faribault.

He served in the US Air Force for 20 years as an aircraft crew chief. Don married Karen Taylor in 1988 and she preceded him in death in 1994. He was also formerly employed by Daikin Applied (McQuay's) for ten years. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, square dancing and gardening.

Don is survived by three children, Terrell (and Martha) Barta of Suwanee, GA, Adrian (and Siony) Barta of North Pole, AK and Tracy Barta of Owatonna; five grandchildren, Marie, Heidi, Lori, Sarah and Charles; numerous great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two siblings.
