Anna Mae Applegate, 93, former resident of Dewey, died at 2:30 P.M. on Saturday at Medicalodge in Dewey. She was born July 14, 1924 at Bigheart, Oklahoma the present day Barnsdall to Roy and May E.(Stephenson) Atkins.
She was raised and received her education in the Barnsdall area where she graduated High School. She was married to Richard Applegate on April 5, 1958 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and they made their home most of the married life in the Dewey. They had owned and operated R & A Campers in Dewey for many years, and let many people park their RV’s and Campers on their lot. She was a faithful member of the Word of Truth Fellowship Church in Dewey, until her ill health did not allow her to attend regular.
Mrs. Applegate is survived by her husband Richard Applegate of Dewey, by her Nephew Phillip Cramer of Ramona, and by a sister-in-law Darlene Cramer of Nowata, Oklahoma, and by 3 nephews and four nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and May E. Atkins.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Applegate will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville with Rev. Jim Anderson, pastor of the Word of Truth Fellowship Church.
