Calvin St. Clair “Cutter” Armentrout, 92, of Keezletown, passed away October 3, 2017, at Sunnyside Presbyterian Retirement Home.

Mr. Armentrout was born April 15, 1925, in Rockingham County and was the son of the late St. Clair and Rose Armentrout. He was a member of the Keezletown United Methodist Church and enjoyed wood working and fishing. He coached Rockingham Recreation League Softball for many years and won many tournaments and trophies.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Lou Armentrout; his daughter, Judy Armentrout Hill; and a grandson, Calvin “Cooter” Reuwer.

He is survived by a daughter, Donna Shifflett and husband, John, Keezletown; grandchildren, Brookie Hill and life partner, Shelly Leavel, Amy Anthony and husband, Rocky, Billie Jo Clem, Kelly Fink and husband, Tommy; step grandson, Michael Shifflett and wife, Lisa; great-grandchildren, Bryce Anthony, Emma Anthony; step-great-grandchildren, Ethen Martin, Madison Fink, Tyler Blackwell, Jessica, Cheyanne and McKayla Shifflett; step-great-great-granddaughter, Gracie Ann-Marie Snyder; son-in-law, Bill Hill; and his pug dog, J.R.

Rev. David Nankivell will conduct a graveside service 11 a.m., Friday, October 6, 2017, at Keezletown Cemetery in Keezletown.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday evening at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
