Betty was a lifelong Annapolitan, graduate of Notre Dame College in Baltimore, Naval Officer and graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. Betty’s duty stations included California, Japan, Hawaii and Washington, D.C. While commuting to Washington from Annapolis she met her future husband and their joint love of sailing the Severn River sealed their romance. After leaving the Navy and getting married, Betty enjoyed in her spare time guiding for Historic Annapolis, swimming, gardening, reading, playing the piano, painting, writing poetry and traveling but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Betty is survived by her husband Joseph.
