James W. Dearth, well known Vinton County farmer and former resident of this city(Chillicothe) died at his home October 19 after a five days' illness from a stroke of paralysis.

He was born in Vinton County on January 18, 1865 and is survived by his wife, four sons; William Oakley of Vinton County, Grover Cleveland of Columbus, Charles Edward of this city(Chillicothe) and Harry Thomas of Columbus, and two daughters, Edna Alma and Florence Oleta at Home. Another son, Howard Franklin preceded the father to the grave.

The funeral will be held from the residence on R.F.D. No. 2, Gillespieville at 3 P.M. Thursday. Burial in the Boblett Cemetery.
