Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Louise Fusilier, 77, will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, October 6, 2017 from the chapel of Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home with Father Martin Gillespie officiating. Burial will be in the Sartinville Cemetery.

Mrs. Fusilier, a resident of Terry and a former resident of the Sartinville Community, passed away at Merit Health Hospital in Jackson on Monday, October 2, 2017. She was born November 14, 1939 in Walthall County, Mississippi, the daughter of the late James “J. P.” and Kathleen Roberts Craft. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother James Craft and sister Marie Craft.

She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and the Secular Order of Caramel. Louise was a very prayerful, faith-filled person who knew about the power, love and mercy of Jesus. Prior to becoming homebound, she loved to go to Mass and prayer services regularly at her Catholic parish. She was very fond of praying the Rosary and had a special love for Jesus and his mother, Mary. She became a member of the Secular Order of Carmel (OCDS) on October 11, 2003, taking the devotional name, "Mary Louise of our Lady of Sorrows" and remained faithful to this prophetic "vocation of prayer and suffering" until her final days. Mary Louise became an "Infirm" member of her local Carmelite Secular Community in November, 2009 after her health began to fail. In the latter years of her life, she was aided by the prayers of her Secular Community, family and friends and the many graces Jesus bestowed upon her. In turn, her sufferings became her prayers for her friends and family whom she loved very much.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family and she always put others first. She loved being outdoors, gardening, and hobby-farming with her chickens, turkeys, and guineas.

Survivors include her husband Mark Fusilier; daughters Kathy Hawkins (Mike), and Amanda Gibson; son Gregory Herr; grandchildren Bethany Hawkins, Joshua Hawkins, Javier Anda, and Isabella Fusilier; and nephews Ken Craft and Micah Craft.

Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 9:15 A.M. till service time there at 11 A.M.
