Arthur Craig McCuistion, 50, of Rexburg, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Friday, June 26, 2009, as a result of a High Adventure rafting accident with his Scouts on the Snake River near Alpine, Wyo. He was surrounded by many he loved.

He was born April 3, 1959, in Burley, Idaho, to Arthur Lloyd and Betty Kay Hamblin McCuistion. He graduated from Burley High School and attended Utah Technical College.

He married Vickie Wright in 1981 and they later divorced. He married Cindy Corless on Aug. 13, 1993, in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. Craig is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He faithfully served an LDS mission in Goteborg, Sweden. He served in many capacities and was currently serving as First Counselor in the Young Men's Presidency in his ward. His greatest passion was serving the youth.

Craig's greatest joy is the love of his life and eternal companion, Cindy. He treasures his children and was very active in their lives and would do anything for them. Craig had a talent of making friends with everyone he met. When meeting a stranger, it took only minutes before they became his friend. He had a contagious laugh and an infectious sense of humor. Everyone loved Craig.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy of Rexburg; and children, Ryan of Coeur D'Alene, Ashley and Kori, both of Boise, and Brittney of Rexburg; his parents, Lloyd "Buzz" and Betty McCuistion of Burley; siblings, Debbie (Steven) Straubhaar of Twin Falls, Lori (Al) Chapa of Burley, Lisa (Jerry) Cook of Lehi, Utah, and Machelle McCuistion of Filer; and a brother-in-law, Dan (Carla) Coreless of Paul.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the Rexburg Stake Center, 590 Summerwood Drive in Rexburg, with Bishop Winston R. Dyer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the stake center. Interment will be in Sugar City Cemetery.
