SANDEFUR, DOROTHY P., age 84, of Pinson, AL, died Saturday, December 18, 1999. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and also attended Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church. She retired from the U.A.B. Medical Center, Smolian Clinic. She was a member of Letitia Study Club and was also a volunteer with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America. Survivors inlcude a son: Jim Sandefur (Jean); daughter, Jane Suggs (Johnny); five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be Tuesday, December 21, at Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. Jefferson Coker officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the Birmingham Humane Society. Elmwood Chapel is directing.
