Felix Cadieux was one of the children born to Felix Cadieux and his wife Caroline. Felix served his country during the US Civil War as a Corporal in the 72nd Illinois Infantry, beginning on June 24, 1862 in Chicago, Illinois and mustering out on July 20, 1865 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Felix was united in marriage on February 25, 1868 in Mackinac, Michigan to Matilda Elizabeth Couchois.
