Mr. Canutt died Monday at his home. He was 83.
Born in Colfax, WA Mr. Canutt was raised in Eastern Washington. He was a member of the LaCrosse, WA Masonic Lodge 155 and the El Katif Shrine in Spokane.
He worked for Standard Oil Company of California from 1924 to 1937 when he moved to Portland and opened a heating and air conditioning business.
He retired in 1958 and moved with his wife to Laguna Beach, CA. In 1968, they moved to Tigard, OR where they were the first residents of Royal Mobile Villa Park.
He is survived by his wife Ruth, daughter Bonnie Wegner of Hayward, CA, son Brad Canutt of Newark, CA, brother Enos Canutt (aka Yakima Canutt) from North Hollywood, CA, sister Sally Finley of Pacific City, 12 grand-children and 13 great-grandchildren.
