John Stillman b1717 was a Lieutenant in the Revolutionary war. He married Rachael Robbins, b. 11 March 1718 in Wethersfield, CT. He fought Rev War and she aided the cause by melting down the house clock weights for bullets. Records in DAR.
John was one of the organizers of the Sandisfield Congregational Church and was First Selectman elected in Sandisfield.
John and Mary Stillman had two daughters, Elizabeth b1746 and Martha b1750.
Elizabeth Stillman, b. 13 August 1746 in Hartford, CT. and died 9 August 1824. Elizabeth married Caleb Wright, Jr., b. 2 April 1746 in Northampton, MA, d. February 1786. Both Elizabeth and Caleb Wright are buried in Woodlawn cemetery, Cambridge, NY.
