Eddie Y. Welsh, born 21 Jul 1918, died 5 Sep 1997.
Eddie Welsh was born in Winnemucca, Nevada, and was raised on a farm outside of Payette, Idaho. He served in the Army during World War II. After being discharged, he moved to Baker, where he lived for 16 years before moving to Salem. He was an environmentalist with the state of Oregon, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Four Corners Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed black powder shooting.
Survivors include his wife, Helen whom he married in 1943; son, John, of Boring; daughters, Joanne Richardson of Germany, Jeanne Renfrow of Kalispell, Montana, and Janice Thompson of Loon Lake, Washington; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Eddie was a member of the Keizer Christian Church.
