Romilda "Millie" Steiner, age 82, formerly of Marytown, died Monday, April 25, 2005 at the Calumet Homestead in New Holstein where she resided for the past four years.

She was born Sept. 20, 1922 in St. Anna, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna Wieler Rieth. She graduated from New Holstein High School.

On Nov. 22, 1945 she married Elroy Steiner at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Millie and her husband owned the Steiner's Tavern and Grocery Store in Marytown. Elroy preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1997.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors include her four daughters, Audrey (Joe) Karls of Johnsburg, Joyce (Roger) Schoenborn of Marytown, Lori (Jim "PeeWee") Heus of Marytown and Shirley (Randy) Moioffer of Fond du Lac; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mabel Casper of New Holstein; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Steiner of Florida, Marion Steiner of New Holstein and Aurelia Lodes of Chilton; and a brother-in-law, Eugene (Rosie) Steiner of New Holstein.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Allen and John Steiner; two sisters and their husbands, Clara (Walter) Stemper and Martha (Bill) Hein; three brothers and their wives, Clemens (Barbara) Rieth, Felix (Rosie) Rieth and Arthur (Irene) Rieth; her brother and sisters-in-law, Joseph H. Casper, Erwin Steiner, Herbert Steiner, Asella (Leo) Geiser and Norbert Lodes.
