BERDIE M. "Ms. Berdie" ANDERSON , 79, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 12, 2007. She was born October 27, 1927 in Lake Cormorant, MS, and was a longtime resident of Memphis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings; her husbands; a son, Fate L. Anderson; a daughter, Edna M. Adams (Phillip) McNeil; and a grandson, Samuel H. Adams, Jr. She is survived by four daughters, Verna M. Adams (William) Cleaves of Southfield, MI; Beverly J. Adams (David) King of Centerville, OH; Myra L. Adams and Sherice A. (Andrew) Gilchrest Anderson of Memphis; two sons Samuel H. (Shirley) Adams of Memphis and Jimmy F. Anderson of San Diego, CA; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Mary Patterson and Lizzie Patterson (James) Haley; one brother-in-law, William Floyd Patterson; a special cousin, Ruby L. Jones, all of Memphis; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, at Fireside Temple Church of God in Christ, 4257 Chuck, Memphis.
