Jacqueline Diane Bell was born in Muskegon, Michigan on June 15, 1938 to Bernard Derda and Bernice (Thompson) Derda, and passed away in Denver, Colorado, October 7, 2017 at age 79. Jacqueline received her B.S. from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was married to David E. Bell on November 19, 1960 enjoyed 47 years of marriage until his death on April 30, 2008.

She taught 51 years for Adams County School District #50, teaching Jr. High at Clear Lake in Denver, then High School at CEP South Mall, and Ranum. She was also the Music Director at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Westminster for 45 years.

She will be missed by her daughters, Alicia Bell-Sheeter and her husband Jeff, Susanne Bell, and Julie Bell-Walker and her husband John, her granddaughters Shannon and Meghan, sister Valerie Preuss and husband Art, her sister-in-law, Barbara Derda, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Derda.

The family will receive friends Thursday, 5:30 PM - 7PM, concluding with the Rosary at 7PM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 7595 Federal Boulevard in Westminster. The Funeral Mass will be Friday,10AM, also at Holy Trinity Church. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
