Otis Lawrence Blair, age 83, of 74 Denton Road, Cedartown, passed away Wednesday, June 8. Mr. Blair was born June 8, 1922 in Polk County. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. At different times, he served as a deacon at Worldview Baptist Church and Oak Grove Baptist Church. He worked for the Polk-Haralson Food Pantry and the Outreach Center. Blair was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II in the Pacific theatre. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis L. and Evelyn Howell Blair, son, William Kirby Blair, brother, Charles Blair, and sisters, Audrey Drummond and Lucille Pyles. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Charlotte Moore Blair, son, Sandy Blair, daughter, Sharon Chilcoat, brother, Joe Blair, sisters, Shirley Hearne and Nina Moore, and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Otis Lawrence Blair were conducted Friday, June 10, in the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Brown, Rev. Chris Hearne, and Dr. Larry Conner officiating. Internment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery with full military honors conducted by Brewster-Cleveland Post #86. Pallbearers were James Guice, Alvin Chandler, Larry Mosley, Terry Burns, Allen Price, Sonny Burns, Dale Long, and Henry Runyan. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Blair, Billy Blair, Mack Moore, Steve Pyles, Charles Moore, Lewis Odom, Jimmy Blair, Jerry Lee, Charles Zebeau, and Noah Benefield. The Lester C.
