Elijah Scott “EJ” Austin, 14, Hopkinsville, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hopkinsville High School Gymnasium with John Voss and Chris Wilson officiating.

Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 until 7 p.m. Saturday at the Hopkinsville Middle School Gymnasium.

Hughart, Beard and Giles Funeral Home in Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Christian County, he was born July 2, 2003, the son of Donnell Brodie and Brandee Austin, both of Hopkinsville.

He was a freshman at Hopkinsville High School where he was a member of the football team, basketball team and baseball team. He attended Eagle Way Church of Christ.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his siblings, Alexis Jordan Austin, Brandon Dale Austin, Ja’mya Sivells, Amari Stubbs, Olivia Jean Austin, Jordan Jones, and Trae Brodie, all of Hopkinsville; his paternal grandmother, Lacreasha Brodie, Hopkinsville; his maternal grandparents, David and Cindy Thomas, Hopkinsville; his paternal great-grandmother, Katherine Mason; his maternal great-grandparents, Jean and Roy Martin, Waco, Texas.
